Ima Mary loves mules! She believes and demonstrates, with her mule hank, that mules can be soft and responsive.
It has been said many times that "mules HAVE to be trained the way horses' should be trained." The challenge may be greater, but then so will be the rewards.
If a person has a mule who will CONSISTENTLY slide, spin, jump, do dressage tests, pack you down the trail, etc., then you have a mule who is giving all of this willingly. They will not work for you under duress for any length of time.
